Principal's Bulletin
Dear Parents,
Reflections on our Week
Staying Cool!
Thank you for encouraging your sons to stay hydrated last week. Many students reported to school armed with Hydro Flasks, Takeyas, Yettis, or other refillable water bottle options and took advantage of the new water fountains on campus. Our water fountains are now capable of refilling water bottles and encourage us all to stay hydrated while decreasing our use of plastic water bottles. We encourage all students who bring refillables in to clearly label them with their first and last names.
Emergency Drill Success
Thank you to all who updated their emergency contact information. We facilitated a complete earthquake drop drill with a full evacuation in under 35 minutes! That is fast!
Margheritas First Annual Meeting
The Margheritas Guild hosted a packed house and enjoyed their first meeting last Friday. The energy was extremely positive! Thank you to Cathy Roohan and Kathi Bode for leading this year's efforts! If you would like to get involved, please email Cathy and Kathi at MargheritasGuild@Bosco.org.

Week Ahead
Unit Assessments
We have been in school for a month now! Time flies! Students should be experiencing unit assessments during the first weeks of September. This will provide an opportunity for rich feedback to occur and for students to reflect on their progress. Mid semester assessments are right around the corner and will take place in mid October!
First Home Football Game
This Friday we face off against Chaminade College Prep High at El Camino College in Torrance. We have moved to a new location this season for our regular season home games and hope to see everyone there! El Camino's new stadium holds 8,500 fans and should be packed on Friday! Get there early and encourage your son to take the rooter bus! They can take the bus to El Camino College and get picked up there or complete a round trip and get picked up at Bosco. It's $5 for either option. Students can sign up in the activities office.
