Three Instructional Options: On-Campus, Hybrid and Online
We are excited to announce our preliminary plan regarding our return to ON CAMPUS* student learning at St. John Bosco High School for the 2020-2021 school year. Our projected first day of school is Monday, August 17, 2020.
Based on current guidelines from the California Department of Public Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Department of Catholic Schools, we will return to campus under the implementation of practical proactive measures. The most significant are as follows:
- Physical distancing throughout campus
- Daily wellness screening
- Limited student grouping
- Enhancement of campus and community sanitation practices
St. John Bosco's 36-acre campus can accommodate these changes. Our faculty, staff, and the entire student body will practice social distancing with more than 50 designated learning spaces, including 45 classrooms, the Multipurpose Room, the Learning Commons, the Theater, athletic facilities, plus plenty of outdoor space. We are also excited to debut changes to our academic program, which will facilitate learning in smaller student groups.
Thank you for your trust and support. We are so excited to safely welcome students back to campus!

Parents must reach out to Bosco by July 27, 2020 if interested in online or hybrid learning for the 2020-2021 school year. Email Adan Jaramillo, Health Management Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
*On-campus instruction will begin August 17, pending LA Health Department approval. As soon as St. John Bosco High School receives approval, on-campus classes will resume (hybrid and online will also continue to be provided).
