Principal's Bulletin

Dear Bosco Family,

This week, we focus on feedback. All teachers will update their gradebooks to provide progress reports by the end of the week. This weekend, we encourage you to review PowerSchool with your son to review and discuss his academic progress. These grades will communicate students' learning so far this semester of the course standards demonstrated through their assignments and will allow for further dialogue to occur about student learning between students and their instructors. We encourage students to take it upon themselves to inquire about their progress directly with their teacher(s) by either emailing them to setup an appointment, or approaching them directly to setup a time. Progress reports will occur on the 15th of each month. Parent teacher conferences will occur on March 25.

National Signing Day

Last Wednesday, 12 varsity football student athletes signed national letters of intent. So far, 25 seniors have accepted athletic scholarships and will continue their academic and athletic careers at prestigious universities across the country. Thank you to the families, friends, and members of the Bosco community who attended the special Signing Day Ceremony. Watch the complete ceremony here

Enjoy one of our favorite quotes of the day, from Stanford-bound WR Colby Bowman: "St. John Bosco High School's mission is to form men of purpose, instilling in them faith, knowledge, leadership and citizenship. I know I will leave here prepared and empowered with the skills, strength and values to meet challenges that are presented to me. Bosco holds each of us to the highest standards of excellence in academics and athletics, and because of this, I am able to proudly say today that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at the one and only Stanford University." – Colby Bowman, Class of 2019

Kairos 47

Last week's Kairos created lifelong memories for 43 seniors.  This four day retreat is a culmination of Don Bosco's Oratory Model: Home, School, Church, and Playground. Alumni will often say that Kairos was their most meaningful experience during senior year.  Don't miss out! There is one final opportunity to experience Kairos for seniors from March 26-29.  Please see Mr. Moon Cordero to register.
