Principal's Bulletin

summer at bosco

Message from the President

Dear Parents,

As we look ahead with excitement to the upcoming 2017-2018 academic year, I am writing to share information on next year's tuition.

After careful consideration and extensive discussion, the St. John Bosco High School Board of Directors and the Members of the Salesian Order approved a tuition rate of $13,500, a 5.8% increase from last year; this represents an increase of $740 for the year, or approximately $62 per month. This percentage increase is comparable to other Catholic schools in the Los Angeles Archdiocese, and for 2017-2018 St. John Bosco remains mid-priced among the schools in the Archdiocese and among the lowest priced of the Trinity League schools.

I want to assure you that this decision was not taken lightly and that we are committed to continue being responsible stewards of your tuition dollars. This increase allows us to cover rising health care costs and to offer a modest cost-of-living increase to our faculty and staff. It will also benefit your son directly by allowing us to continue to make academic, student service, and campus improvements.

In 2016-2017 Bosco students excelled in the classroom, in athletics and drama, and in the community; we are confident that with your support, next year will be even better. It is our privilege to partner with you in your son's education, and we are grateful for the trust you place in us.

Thank you again for your support and trust in us.

In the Spirit of Don Bosco,

Dennis Mulhaupt
