SJB Global Online Teacher

SJB Global Online Teacher

Online Teachers for SJB Global support student learning by facilitating our online classrooms. They provide specific and individualized feedback and weekly progress reports to students and families, working with our Academic Advisors and School Counselors to provide a support team for each student. They actively participate in discussions and keep an office hour each day there is a lesson, which in turn helps build relationships with the students as the teacher accompanies them through their learning journey.

The job itself is a part-time temporary position, offering complete flexibility as to what time of day the remote work is completed. The classes are asynchronous, meaning the work can be done on the teachers’ schedule. Most teachers spend about 1-2 hours a day per class, depending on the number of students in the classroom, with potentially a few catch-up hours during the weekend. While teachers must supply their own computer equipment and internet access, all applicable course
materials will be supplied for them. Instructors are kept in a “teacher pool” and–when needed and depending on enrollment–are contracted for a specific course that is either 8 or 16 weeks long.
