Kairos Retreat

The Kairos retreat is offered to St. John Bosco High School seniors because they are, indeed, ripe, mature and prepared to enter the next phase of their faith development. Kairos is a unique moment in that development, not only for the candidates, but for the entire school community. During Kairos, the retreatants look carefully at themselves, their relationships with others, and their relationship with God.

The central theme of the retreat is God’s love for us – a love that is made visible through the people in our lives who love us. As a Salesian community, the Kairos retreat program has become an integral part of our Salesian identity and is one of our most cherished acts of spiritual accompaniment. Each year, St. John Bosco High School offers three Kairos retreat opportunities, one during the fall semester and two during the spring semester. The three retreats can accommodate a total of 135 students.

  • If you are a Bosco parent and would like your son to attend, please contact the Kairos Coordinator, Mr. Ed Torre, at etorre@bosco.org or at (562) 920-1734 ext. 518.
