Service Hours

Through our Parent Service Hour Program, you’ll not only support school events and initiatives, but also form lasting friendships and memories with other families.

Our Parent Service Hour Program is more than just volunteering — it’s an opportunity to share your time, talents, and resources while building lasting friendships and memories with other Bosco families. Whether you’re helping at an event, donating goods, or working quietly behind the scenes, every effort you give strengthens the family spirit that makes Bosco so special. 

Service Hour Requirements

  • 30 hours per student, per year (families with more than one son have a 30-hour obligation for each).
  • The service hour cycle runs April 1 – March 31 each year.
  • Hours do not roll over to the following year.
  • Hours completed after March 31 count toward the next school year.
  • New families may begin serving hours starting April 1. 

How it Works

We use Track it Forward to make logging and tracking hours simple. Families are responsible for tracking and logging their own hours. There is one Track it Forward account per family and you will use this account for all four years. Through Track it Forward, you can:
 
  • Log completed hours
  • View your total hours and milestone progress
  • Sign up for upcoming events
  • Track your volunteer history
Only hours recorded in Track it Forward count toward the annual requirement.
 

Donating Goods for Service Hours

We understand that your time is valuable and schedules can be tight. That’s why families can earn service hour credit for donated goods:
 
  • 1 service hour for every $40 in goods donated
  • It’s the family’s responsibility to contact the school, arrange donations, and log hours in Track it Forward.

Fees for Incomplete or Missed Hours

  • Any incomplete hours at the end of the cycle are billed at $40/hour to your tuition account.
  • If you accept a service hour assignment but cannot attend, please notify us at least 3 business days in advance. A no-show without notice results in a $25/hour fee (this does not reduce your 30-hour obligation).
