International Students

International student applicants must complete the online application and send in necessary items by email to the Director of International Admissions, Bryce Weiglin. If any items are missing, the student’s application will not be reviewed for an acceptance decision until the application is complete.

Once the initial application is received and reviewed by our Admissions Panel, a Skype interview will be scheduled. A member of the Admissions Office will schedule the Skype Interview with the applicant. The Skype Interview will assess the student's English ability and learn about the student's academic record.

After reviewing the student's application and results from the Skype Interview, the Admissions Panel at St. John Bosco will make the determination on acceptance to our school. The student will be notified via email if they have been accepted to St. John Bosco High School.

After the student is accepted, St. John Bosco will process the I-20 application for an F-1 Student Visa. Once our school creates the I-20, it will be mailed to the student's family. Once the family receives the I-20 they are to then schedule an appointment with the Immigration Office at the United States Embassy nearest to them to obtain the F-1 Student Visa.

For students who do not need homestay: Proof of residence with an immediate family member (i.e. mother or father) must be provided.

Once a student has enrolled, the student will be connected with St. John Bosco High School’s homestay partner. Our homestay program gives each student the individualized attention for all family needs, creating a perfect atmosphere for the students to have a nurturing and supportive relationship with their homestay and school. Students and their parents can have peace of mind while the student is in the program as each family is checked to be worthy of participating in the homestay program. Every participating family goes through a personal interview, background check, and the home is inspected to ensure the ongoing safety and comfort of each student. In addition, homestay families provide rich cultural experiences, ones that the students will cherish for the rest of their lives.

After a student is accepted, St. John Bosco High School will send information on registering for class and paying tuition to the International family. The registration process will be done online. Part of the registration process entails the family providing proof of Medical Insurance. We recommend that the health insurance covers doctor visits, medicine, and treatments, in addition to hospital stays and emergency services.

International students may wait to purchase health insurance and finalize immunizations until after they have received their acceptance email. Students will not be allowed to attend class until proof of insurance and completion of immunizations have been received by the Main Office at St. John Bosco High School.
